Not all the wood is suitable for the prodcution of chipboards. Our main supplier Unilin uses non-salvageable wood as heat for the own production or to generate green electricity via via their own biomass plants.
Saving and generating green electricity
When wood is not suitable for the production of new chipboards, Unilin’s own biomass power plant is used to convert the non-recyclable wood into heat and electricity. This helps us to ensure that all the wood is used to the maximum reuse where possible, and to sustainable energy production at the end of the material cycle.
